More than a story, a fairytale. Our story, the one of Tiziana and Massimo Aloisio, the founders of Orogami. It all began on May 25th, 1990, on a Rome-Milan flight. An unexpected meeting that became the first flight of our life together. We still remember the hours of passionate conversation about gold, design, art, philosophy, and our decade-long experience as designers. From that moment, a personal and professional partnership blossomed, leading to the birth of Orogami that same year.
The name we chose evokes that encounter: oro (gold) and gamos (union in ancient Greek), a union in gold. But Orogami read backward reveals Imagoro, “of this time” in Japanese, a philosophy that animates our contemporary creations, rich in emotion and our personal meaning.
Our years of artistic and architectural studies, alongside learning ancient Roman goldsmithing techniques and modern technologies, shaped the unique vision we bring to our jewelry. The numerous research trips across diverse cultures have further broadened our approach to jewelry design.
In 1994, Orvieto, a city of art and craftsmanship that we love, became our new home, a source of renewed inspiration for our creations. Orogami has gained an international clientele, exhibiting our unique collections in prestigious galleries across the USA, Switzerland, France, and Australia, receiving recognition for our design.
As Orogami proudly approaches two significant milestones in October this year – its thirty-fifth anniversary since its founding and its thirtieth year since Orvieto became its inspiring home – we are particularly pleased to share a recent recognition of our artistic journey.
Thanks to the invaluable collaboration of our dear friend and impeccable Jewelry Publicist, Duvall O’Steen, a wonderful article about Orogami recently appeared in Forbes, with the sensitive writing of Kyle Roderick who beautifully narrated our essence.
Our philosophy intertwines history, art, archaeology, echoes of classical cultures, and the power of symbolism in jewelry that we want to have a strong emotional impact. Contemporary forms express concepts linked to life, with the intention of transferring positive energy to those who wear them. The circle, the golden ratio, Fibonacci, architecture, and nature inspire the complex textures we create with the skill of expert Italian master goldsmiths.
Each piece of jewelry is for us a unique creation, at the boundary between art and Italian craftsmanship.
Another significant recognition of our artistry is that, for the second consecutive time, we will be present at the Couture Show in Las Vegas in June 2025, the most exclusive event in the world dedicated to fine jewelry.
“Couture Show Las Vegas 2025”, held from June 4 to June 8, 2025, was carried out with the support of:
